Earlier today i was walking into the Sala Thai restaurant on Layfayette in Detroit. A black man pulled and got out of a tan SUV believe it to be a Chevy Suburban around the year 2000. Anyways before I entered the restaurant he said something to me. I stopped as he approached assuming he was going to ask for directions or something. As soon as got up close he just sucker punched me in the head for no apparent reason and walked away. I never seen this man before in my life and was stunned and couldn't believe it .. thankfully i wasn't injured. Anyways, I called the police and made a police report but unforntunatly the police didn't seem like they could help me at all. I didn't have any witnesses. This guy belongs in jail. Random acts of violence with no motive or nothing to gain from it are the worst kind.

Out of curiosity at the time of the police report did you advise you could identify the suspect and wanted the case investigated? Have you followed up with the police department?
