You can also access Alabama's court of appeals online records free here, but you must register and sign an agreement letter:

good site but their is a user fee of $ 200 unless i have read the small print wrong but the info is ok

You're right, I missed that. I read this part:
Access the Online Law Library Catalog (free)
and mistook it to mean records access was free.
