Hi..
I need help finding out about my father, I have the year-month-day he died
and where he was living when he died. I can not find out where he was buried. I also want to find the executor of he's will. He lived in Florida US.
I have looked up as many of the sites found in this forum as I could, and I have spent almost $100.00 for membership to two or three sites just to send me to another site where they asked for more money.
I can not afford any more, I'm a pensioner.
I don't think that I will be able to find out about the will on the net, so what do you think I can do to find that information.
Cheers from downunder. |

Email Florida Department of health regarding facts listed on death certificates (burial information & COD) during the time period in question and order a copy if need be.
http://www.doh.state.fl.us/planning_eval/vital_statistics/deaths.htm
Contact Probate Court in the jurisdiction where filed re- obtaining a copy of the will.
I realize being out of country presents problems, if time and correspondence is an issue perhaps a Document Research and Retrival Service may help.
You may want to recheck prior post re- death certificates, probate, wills, court records etc. as this subject has been addressed in the past.
Good luck and let us know how you do,
watchman |

I see you received my PM, I hope it offered some clarification.
Let me add this may not be the case in your circumstances but be aware Inheritance fraud in not uncommon.
If you believe you have been wrongfully deprived of all or a portion of your rightful inheritance or if the Executor was careless, made unauthorized expenditures or out right committed theft you must act to protect your rights.
For example I’m looking into two situations where allegations of a Will written and forged weeks after cremation and a living trust that all generally known copies mysteriously vanished & assets dwindling. My point being if this is a concern consider having a practiced individual look into it.
Someone still needs to gather evidence for civil recourse or criminal prosecution. Being 9300 miles away does present a some what of an inconvenience
Good luck |

Hi watchman.
Yes your PM did help. I went to the internet site you had in your post and I will send for the death certificate.
I don't expect much from the will so will see what the "lawman" can find.
Thanks for your help. Goodonyou. |

"If you want to see treachery, misappropriation, greed and hostility all in one package work a few Intestate cases. Not exactly a scene from the Norman Rockwell family collection. Unless you intentionally want to leave a legacy of turmoil preplan, still no assurance against treachery, misappropriation, greed and breach of fiduciary responsibility at least you tried."
After reading my own post I was going to change my executor from a family member to my banker. If you can’t trust your banker who can you trust? On a second thought I decided intestate is the way to go and let my property be divided according to the Succession Act 1965. NOT.... |
