I am trying to find a person and am anxious to to pinpoint exact unit he belonged to.I do have a good idea of regiment but would like to narrow it down further can any body help? |

From your profile I see you’re located in UK. Are you looking for UK military records or U.S. Army records? If not what nation?
Be aware if U.S., a fire at the NPRC in St. Louis in July 1973, destroyed about 80 percent of the records for Army personnel discharged between November 1, 1912, and January 1, 1960. |

Many thanks for reply ,I have heard this,but also have found many records from books etc.Just a long shot really but I believe I know what Liner troops left USA on and was hoping to find records of passenger lists,do you know if this is possible? |
