Divorce records - Los Angeles

I appreciate any help that you can give me at this point. Yes I am also new to your site and was wondering how to find out info on a divorce that had to of taken place around 1958. My boyfriends dad disappeared one day (nobody has ever seen him since) but his mother did get remarried eventually and I assume that she would of had to have divorce papers to move on with her life. I know her name but only know the last name of the father (of course). Thank you for your time and help.[/list]
