missing dad

[son needs his dad]

we are trying to find my sons dad, he was in my sons life until 2 years ago he just vanished. I can tell that it is getting to my son, who is 8, and all I want is for them to be able to talk to one another or even visit, I do not care about child support or anything else, my son needs to hear from his dad and that is what I am out to get. I have never met his parents, we were never married, and never really had a steady relationship, but were always best of friends. He has a drinking problem and had gotten many dwi's, maybe he got locked up, I have no idea, I have ss# if this would help, I have gotten nowhere trying to do it free. We make it but do not have extra money for a detective now. Please help for my son.
