My father sign over power of attorney to me because he is going overseas to work that way I can take care of his bills and other affairs. But he recently got married is this document still binding. Does his wife have any legal rights concerning this matter?

Donna welcome to Detective forums.

You should be asking this question to an attorney or legal professional on a legal advice forum, a Google search will give you several to choose from. Here’s one to get you started: http://forum.freeadvice.com

Asking how to background his wife would be within the scope of this forum.
Recently a situation was brought to my attention were a 50ish divorcee married a widower 25 years her senior after a worldwind romance and made it known she was now in charge of his assets and of course a new Will and power of attorney. The family had a feeling she was a gold digger and wanted a comprehensive background check to corroborate their suspicions.

In the meantime feel free to look around and read post by other members and take advantage of free public information sites embedded within the forum. Are you located within the U.S.?
