I am looking for info on an old grocery store in San Antonio, TX in the 1920's. It was owned by my great grandparents and was located near Camp Travis in an area called Snake Hill. Any ideas?

You might try this.
www.genforum.genealogy.com
The source is the Henrietta Independent going back to late 1800s and early 1900s. There are several types of stores with matching proprietor's names but mostly no store names. Maybe you can match a known name. Also try www.powells.com/biblio. It has some interesting material and photos to boot but you have to purchase the book. If you want to pm me we'll discuss some names that might help with the search and I have a question or two.

Thank you so much. I am looking at those sites now. One question - after I get on GenForum where do I find Henrietta Independent?
