Hello,

I'm currently writing a book on the adult film industry of the 70s and 80s, and am searching for an actress who used the name "Lisa de Leeuw". Rumors say she died of AIDS in 1993, but I have my doubts. So I guess my question is: how do I find her? I have her real name, but no confirmed birth date or social security number. I've tried various private eye on-line services to find a death certificate, a marriage license, etc., but have come up with nothing. Anybody who can provide some help in this department would be doing me a great service, and I couldn't thank you enough!! HELP!!! Thanks! Smile

Seems like you’re not the only person trying to confirm her death or find her gravesite.

Do you have another name besides her stage name or Lisa T from Moline? If you’re using Lisa T. with several posted variations of her birth date for your search, have you or to your knowledge has anyone verified Lisa T. as her true name and not just another alias, Or if Moline Ill is in fact her birthplace?

I have confirmed her real name with a producer/director who worked with her and had access to her talent release form with her full name (including middle name, which isn't available publicly) and date of birth. However, he did not have her social security number (which would have been ideal).

I have several printed interviews where Lisa gives her birth place as Moline, IL and she says her boyfriend worked at an adult movie theater there, but searching at Cinema Treasures.org, which lists every known theater in the United States, there was no exclusively adult theater in Moline (the Coral Drive-In showed adult features in the early 80s, but this couldn't be the "movie house" usually credited to her boyfriend), so all of that could have been made up.

I'm at the point where I may have to turn this over to a private detective, but I don't have the $$ for that (college student here).

Thanks for any help you can offer!

Are your doubts about the cause of death, her death in general or are you suggesting a missing person?

I don't think this is the case of a missing person. I would just like to confirm reports of her death. And if she is in fact not dead, I would like to learn of her current whereabouts. My doubts lie die in the case of her death in general (I don't know if she was an IV drug user or not).

I mean “missing” for your purposes. Wear the hat of a PI or investigative reporter. I would take these interviews with a grain of salt. How do you know she used a real name on the form? Have you actually seen the release form and how creditable is the producer/director? Have you verified a Lisa T. ever existed in Moline? Before spending big bucks on a private investigator conduct a preliminary investigation yourself. Moline not a large city, there’s enough information in prior post to give you sufficient ideas to formulate an investigative game plan. Besides your computer use your imagination, intuition and phone. If you cannot corroborate your “Lisa T.” information and if it’s looks like she may have taken another alias and disappeared in the sunset you may need the services of a PI or or save money and write you were unable to confirm the birth Lisa T. or death of Lisa de Leeuw

If you will, keep us updated

Good luck

If you or anyone else has a person's "real" name & they were/ are U>S citizens born in or after the last half of the 20Th. century there is no reason why they can't be found /or un less they are on "The Lam" in Witness protection or "missing of/on their own free will you can still find a relative ,or or other source of a trail BELIEVE ME IT IS A LOT CHEAPER , EASIER & DEFINITIVE TO FIND A PERSON BY/FROM THEIR ACTUAL NAME THAN BY A LICENSE PLATE NUMBER (AT LEAST FOR MOST PEOPLE) That is why I offer the service for only 4.11$ because it is "That Easy!"

SOME PEOPLE ARE ADDICTED TO GAMBLING AND CAN'T STEP FOOT INSIDE A C-A-S-I-N-0 & OF COURSE WE ALL KNOW ABOUT BARS & DRUNKS ...THIS SITE CAN BE THE SAME WAY FOR ME ...it never fails to sucker me in !! BUT GO A HEAD SEND ME THE INFORMATION delawman@gmail.com I hope you'll at least throw me a a movie credit line!! Wink
