I had a relative who is now deceased, and I am trying to locate old court/criminal recorts in New Jersey from the 1970's to 1980's. I don't know for which county in New Jersey. Here's the story: My uncle was arrested for DUI according to family members who won't discuss the matter anymore. He jumped bail, hid in a relative's barn, built a boat (really!) and floated around the eastern seaboard working in marinas for 15 to 20 years. A pretty extreme reaction to a DUI. Any recommendations?

BTW I wanted to add that I have my uncle's date of birth/ death/ and SSI#. Other than that I know he left NJ in 1980-81 and briefly resurfaced a few years before his death in the late 1990's.
